What we are trying to do here is to reduce food waste and plastic contamination. At the end of 2018, Delhi generates 690 tonnes of plastic waste every day. The capital is struggling to impose a ban on plastic bags which are less than 50 microns in thickness. The NGO recently carried out a ‘garbage audit’ in Delhi, found that around 36% of the total branded plastic items were a mix of things like milk packets, plastic use and low-recyclable value cups. 

The food wasted by the United States and Europe alone could feed the world 3 times over.
